Booking Conditions
Terms & Conditions
- GENERAL. The Hiring Contract is between the hirer and the property owners, Paul and Cheryl Howard.
- PAYMENT. Bookings should be made by telephone or email and confirmed within five days enclosing a deposit of 30% or payment in full. Bookings should be accompanied by contact details of the hirer, and the balance due must be paid at least two months prior to the holiday date. If the holiday date is less than two months away, the full amount becomes due immediately.
- HIRER'S OBLIGATION. The Hirer agrees:
- to be responsible for the accommodation and to take reasonable care of it, to keep it clean and tidy, and to replace any breakages or damage caused.
- to permit the owner and/or a representative to enter the property at any reasonable time to carry out any necessary repairs to the property or equipment.
- that the number of persons staying should not be increased without the owner's consent prior to arrival.
- PETS. One well-behaved dog – no charge.
- CANCELLATION. The owner carries no cancellation insurance. Hirers are advised to arrange their own. If a booking is cancelled in writing more than two months before the holiday date, all efforts will be made to re-let, and if successful, the deposit (less £50.00 per week) will be refunded. If unsuccessful, the deposit is forfeited. If cancelled in writing less than two months before the holiday, the deposit is forfeited and the balance becomes payable. If re-letting is successful, any monies received (less 20%) will be returned.
- ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE TIMES. Properties are available after 4.00pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure.
- NON-AVAILABILITY OF PROPERTY. Should the property be unavailable on the reserved day, all monies will be refunded without question. No further liability shall fall upon the owner, however arising, beyond the rental amount.
- COMPLAINTS. Any complaints should be reported to the owner immediately. Requests for compensation cannot be considered after the holiday has ended. Complaints will be investigated and resolved as soon as possible.
- LIABILITY. Every effort is made to ensure amenities are as advertised. However, no liability is accepted for restrictions caused by flood, drought, power cuts, or any other event beyond the owner’s control.
- DISCLAIMER. The owner accepts no responsibility for any injury or loss occurring on the premises.
